Night Time Strollby jaysonmcComment: I love the composition. The small person and the medium-sized trees really give perspective to the size of the wheel towering above them. And the picture is so well balanced, with the curve of the wheel being echoed by the line of the tree tops. The colors are beautiful and the subject is interesting. I think the soft focus is what hurt your score. That was my first impression when I opened the image (blur). As I stay with the shot a little longer, I see the focus is not bad. The man walking is really the only thing that's unclear. |

3.14 O.C.D.by empiresbmComment: This is a really cool image. I can see where someone who is struggling with pi would be using up a lot of cigarettes. And I think it is technically very good: Focus/DOF, color, composition, light. I think this was under rated by the voters because they didn't understand it. Don't be discouraged by this. |

Trescott Street Pierby bmartuchComment: I agree this would be a terrific entry for Vanishing Point. I'm sure it would look great in b&w, but I think these colors are beautiful. You should be proud of this shot. I like the way the dock vanishes exactly on the horizon. |

Into the Millions by ZoomdakComment: Congratulation on your ribbon. The image is really cool. And thank you for sharing the Text-Image link. That little tool may come in handy someday, and I have tucked it away in my bookmarks. |

The Crocus & the Beeby annigComment: First of all, I don't agree with Jennifer about the tighter crop. I like the flower, and the bee's not in the best position to be featured.
Second, I like your first crocus shot (the one for Rule of Thirds) better than this one. I like the background and the lighting on that other one better. As I said in the comment on the first one, I think your score for that shot was hurt because it didn't really illustrate the rule.
Third, I like this shot and gave it a 7 during voting. I didn't go higher because I think the background is a bit distracting. If you use Photoshop, an interesting exercise might be to blur the background quite a bit, and then possibly modify the hue and saturation of the blur. |

Calm Harborby noranekoComment: Oh, I didn't get to this during voting (only got about 2/3 done). It is beautiful. The colors are amazing. The golden starry lights are lovely. The rest of the voters seemed to agree. Woo hoo -- 2 faves. This would be really nice on a wall. |
