Watch Out for the Signby Blink_Too_FastComment: Interesting street -- there certainly are a lot of signs. This is a clever idea. The image looks like it could use a Levels adjustment to bring out the color and contrast. |

Looking Backby okiesisiComment: Congratulation on your PB. This is a wonderful composition. The reflection on the memorial seems like the ones who were lost are looking back on the ones who are left without them -- a connection between the living and the dead. Perhaps that's what you meant by the title. Very evocative. Message edited by author 2007-06-08 16:19:02. |

My Paradiseby HipychikComment: Wow, this is pretty. I love the light reflection on the rowboat. The framing is very effective too. I'll be in such a place -- a cabin in MI on Lake Superior -- in July. It truly is a paradise; I can't wait. |

Blissby levyj413Comment: Jeffery, this is beautiful. Your brother and sister-in-law will be very happy to have this forever. The mother and infant are both very beautiful to begin with, and you have done a stunning job of bring out the beauty in this image. I think the light and colors are excellent. And the way you softened the focus and saturation on the infant's blanket and hair, and the background really improve the shot. |

Art Schoolby posthumousComment: Very nice. The shadows help form the light path to the subject. And the artist and subject of the painting seem to be echoes -- very similar positions. I like the height of the columns and the simplicity of the whole image. The more I explore it, the better I like it. |

Beautiful Eyesby griz210Comment: Lovely portrait, Dave. Is this the same girl as the one with the rose? She is so pretty and lighting and pose are so flattering. I think this deserved a much higher score, but all the commenters seem to agree that the focus on the eyes isn't quite sharp enough. It's amazing what a difference tack sharp eyes make. |

Portrait of a Girlby KelliComment: I think this was a good capture, and you achieved your goal of bring out the adult aspect of the girl.
I don't care for the processing. The hair looks glued together rather than soft and wispy as I imagine it really was. The contrast on the lips is very harsh (little detail of the mouth is visible) and the edges seem over sharpened. I also don't see any detail in the iris of her eyes. Maybe this is due to excessive noise reduction.
I'd like to see the original. I'll bet there are all sorts of good things you could do with it. |
