This won't hurt muchby quiet_observationComment: Really looks more like a dentist chair. It gives me quite the chill. I was wondering about the head rest, but then I remembered that barbers also give shaves.
Congratulations on this great score and 13th place!
BTW, I love the lighting, texture, and color of this shot. Message edited by author 2007-07-18 00:34:20. |

Potatoes are inby TitiaComment: Amazing how you made dirt so beautiful. The rich tones, and beautiful lighting and composition make this a work of art. |

Measha Brueggergosmanby xianartComment: Great shot -- beautiful composition and b&w conversion. The focus is great too. That back lighting is terrific. |

Gravity Sucksby xianartComment: I like all the indistinct audience in the background. The shot is very dramatic. I hope their catch was as good as yours. |

Sixty-three Lives by SouthCoastOr3gonComment: Congratulations on the well deserved ribbon! I think for sure you have a "Hang in There" greeting card. Be sure to shop it around. |

Texas Pineconeby ElaineComment: Love it. From the thumbnail, I thought it was another mediocre fireworks shot. What a nice surprise I had when I opened the full shot. The lighting, color, and focus are great, and I like the placement against the black background. What a huge difference between the commenter's score, and the final average, and some of the commenters didn't even like it. Well, I like it, and agree that it would be much better in a large print. |

To Dreamby MelethiaComment: Nice low key image! I can see why you are yearning for lights now. I must admit that when I first saw this (I already knew it was yours) I thought you had been shooting store windows again. Then I noticed that the skin didn't look plastic. What a great experience you had. Congratulations on a well deserved terrific score, especially for a Free Study. |

Chillby colorcarnivalComment: Aw, my husband and I had a bichon for 16.5 years. He's been gone for about 6 years now, and we still miss him. What a joyful and loving breed that is!
This is a great score and placement for a Free Study. Congratulations on a very good entry. I have a feeling that the blown highlights on his back may be what prevented it from scoring above 6 -- the subject, composition, simplicity, focus, and color are all excellent (IMO). |
