Bad Girlsby NikonJebComment: I really like your b&w conversion, and the use of b&w for this subject seems very appropriate: a gray life of the graying women. What I love to see is that, except for the front woman, they all look so normal, bright eyed, and happy. I'm glad the voters appreciated it as it deserved. |

SOCATOAby colorcarnivalComment: I learned something by having to look up your title. (And I found the answer using your spelling. Must be valid!!) I think you were a bit too subtle for a good score, but nevertheless, you have a good image. I'm impressed with your DOF singling out the three buttons of SOCATOA. |

Soapbox meets Mega-Tellyby jaysonmcComment: It does take some time to understand what this is. Once figured out, I totally appreciate it. I love the "automobile" and think you captured quite an appropriate dichotomy. |

Not Your Daddy's Appleby noranekoComment: Wow, you have taken the leap into serious creativity -- creating the shot, I mean. This is really a good step for you, IMO. You were always good at spotting and capturing a good photo, and you have mastered PP. This will take the final restrictions off your ability to create art with your camera. I can't wait for more of these.
BTW, I think this is a great success. Excellent color, clarity, and composition. |

Tomorrow and Tomorrowby raishComment: This is quite an amazing find. I have no idea what it is, but it certainly fits the challenge. To me, the grain makes it look all the more mysterious, and I think it is very good for the image. However, it probably wasn't so good for your score. Regardless of what the voters said, I say "well done". |

Seeking a way out. by patrickpetersonComment: This is a very poignant photograph. I believe you accomplished your goals very well. I have dealt with the same subject and emotions in a few of my photos, and really appreciate this image.
edit to add: I like the sharpened features of her face, but not the rough skin -- that is distracting to me. She is such a pretty girl, that I would like to see her skin smooth. Message edited by author 2007-10-22 11:03:13. |

Innovative Cookeryby GreetmirComment: It took me a minute to figure out which challenge this was supposed to be for. Then I noticed the pencils. Very good. Too bad you got mixed up on the deadline. |

I Know It's Around Here Somewhere...by noranekoComment: If I get a macro lens like yours, will I be able to take gorgeous photos like you? I'll answer that myself. It might help, but it takes more than a lens to make these beautiful works of art. |
