I'm not someone who needs a "subject" in a good photo. I really like this image. I love the composition and the B&W. I love the position of the sun. I feel like I am on the boat, and I could look at this image for a long restful time. My eyes enjoy exploring the whole expanse of the scene.

I didn't make it all the way through the 520 entries during voting. I wish I had seen this one, because I would have helped you score a bit. I really like it. Usually I'm not fond of blurry water, but in this case it creates a wonderful composition. I love the blues and grays and the little tinge of gold/orange in the water. The image has great motion and light.
