Black, Two Sugarsby klkitchensComment: I like it -- simple clean image with good lighting. Maybe people didn't like the slow shutter speed. You know how much DPC loves tack sharp images, and dislikes blur. I think it's very clever the way you got the sugar to shoot out sideways from one spoon to the other. |

Stillnessby ThingFishComment: You are right about the horizon, and about my picture looking like Holland. Interesting how two places can be so different yet so similar. Here is another shot I took at Green Cay Wetlands in Florida a few years ago.

outtakenby mitalapoComment: Wonderful design. I love the crop. I wish the individual was less visible/distinct, because my attention is drawn to her and away from the lines. If it were my image, I would create a silohuette of the person. |

Red Flagby james_soComment: Not sure what you were doing with the focus here. Were you trying to create an impressionistic image. While I often like blur, this doesn't work for me. |

Broadtailed Hummingbirdby JuliBocComment: Originally posted by cdpayne: This is a very cool out of bounds work....if I can suggest something, I would take his right foot (on the viewer's left that is...bird's right) and possibly show that foot coming through the frame, to help with the 3Dish look. Bonus points if you make it look like his foot is grasping the white frame :) |
Yes, I agree that would be cool, but the thing under the bird is a small branch, not its leg. The leg and foot are tucked up under the feathers. I will try to bring the branch out of the frame to make it a little more understandable. |

egrets14shutterbug by debbiedsdComment: Congratulations on your ribbon. Quite an accomplishment in a FS. Your photo is beautiful.
I do a lot of bird photography myself, and I am curious about the darkness in this image. What time of day was this? I see the very low angle light coming from the right, but there doesn't seen to be any pink I would expect at sunrise or sunset. If you feel like it, I would love to know more about the circumstances of this shot. |

IMG_1393by knikkiComment: I've noticed that your vertical images are rotated to horizontal. I have no idea what is causing this, but if you want to discuss it and try to find a solution, send me a PM. You want to resolve this before entering a vertical shot in a challenge. |
