Cool catby jimsappComment: It always surprises me to see a cat in water, but of course I know tigers like to bathe. Nice composition with the diagonal line of his back. I think I would vignette this slightly, just to contain the image and keep the eye from drifting off the edges. |

dragonfly on buttercupby tnunComment: Beautiful detail here. Really nice the way the light is reflecting from those delicate wings. |

Yellow in Blueby colorcarnivalComment: I like it too. the background looks unnatural, but that doesn't matter to me. What I like is the light, color, and composition. It is very uplifting. |

wildthings3.jpgby icu1965Comment: This looks like a flood with no land in sight, just a bit of a branch sticking up as a brief refuge for the birds. I like the streaks in the water as a background for the bird silhouettes. |

wildthing4.jpgby icu1965Comment: Wow, good catch. I like the extended tongue. I know there are snakes where I shoot, but I never see them. |

Poisedby JedusiComment: I'm wondering how you get these beautiful dark clear backgrounds for your birds. Have you set up some sort of feeding station (I see a little corn on the branch) with a backdrop? The picture is great, and I agree with fantomfoto that your presentation is very clean and attractive. |

IMG_0058Gull.jpgby JerseyGenieComment: I'm a great fan of stop action water shots. Here it brings vitality to an otherwise very static shot of the gull. I don't mean static in a bad way, just that nothing much is going on. He seems to be considering what to do next. I like the textures, color, and sharp angles of the stone. |

Chickadee.jpgby ivale28Comment: Ah, we get three for one today. I love the way you combined these three images. They flow together so nicely with that gentle curve. And since these little guy rarely stay in one place for long, this gives a nice feeling of their behavior and environment. The black canvas sets them off well and complements the black of the chickadee. |

Rescued Redby colorcarnivalComment: What a beautiful animal. You really did it justice. The background is amazing. Normally you think of backgrounds contrasting with the subject, but this matching background is the perfect complement. I love it. |
