Nice. The overlay adds so much without obscuring anything.

Beautiful image, Steve. I love the rich color and shine. Great clarity. I can see why it didn't do well in this challenge, since it isn't a road. The voters aren't very liberal with their interpretations of the challenge subject.

This would be very good for this week's challenge: Shallow DOF. You have the skill and the tools, you should do well.

seems more surreal than abstract. Setting that aside, I like the image.

As well as the light and composition, I really like the texture in the background.

Brian, I like the image, and I understand your thought, but the image didn't give any indication that this young lady was anything other than a pet owner drying her dog. I think there needed to be something more that would indicate she is volunteering her time (working for no pay) -- dog pens behind her or an organizational sign somewhere in the image, etc.

I really like this. It's a real work of art.

I attended several lectures on photographing flowers by Barbara Ellison. Check out her "In my garden" gallery. She does a lot of experimental printing on lots of different papers. She also uses a scanner to "photograph" some of her flowers. Your hydrangea reminds me of some of her prints.

Love the light and color in this image. Only wish the oar was lit a little more.

Beautiful image. I love the cool colors flowing down to the warmer, sunny area on the lower right. The streaks of the motion blur, give it a wonderful uplift and path for the bird. Except for the cool colors, they look like very early morning sun rays. They also look rather like rays shining through water as seen while diving. There is so much to look at and find in this very simple composition.

Nice effect of the b&w, and I like the wind in the mane and the lines of the horse's head and neck circling around. Thanks for the b&w conversion tip.
