Winter Berthby HipychikComment: Beautiful soft colors and great perspective. I love the line of masts tapering off to the right. Great example of silence. |

Eagles Homeby griz210Comment: I really like this, Dave. It has the look of an Andrew Wyeth watercolor -- his sort of landscape and muted colors. I think the nest makes this image very special. |

Sunset Dramaby KelliComment: Gotta love that sky! And I love the way the sun has created a star between the trunks. Beautiful timing and composition. |

In The Countryby HipychikComment: Love this scene. I wouldn't have thought of shooting the tree with the barn behind it. I probably would have tried to get the tree against the sky. That's why you're the artist and I'm the photo hobbyist. BTW, Larry loves this shot too. |

Standing By The Pondby BrianRComment: I agree with you about the bottom of the clouds being the true horizontal indicator. Therefore I would rotate the image just slightly counterclockwise to get that line straight. The color is spectacular and I love the bright white trunk of the tree. Very pretty image. |

Mountain's Guardianby goinskiingComment: Cool title. The way you have it cropped really makes it look like the tree is trying to block my passage to the mountain. |

Atop the Knoll...by NikonJebComment: Wow, Jeb, the color is fabulous -- not at all the average orange and black sunset silhouette. I doesn't look very natural to me, but that doesn't matter to me. I'm not one who thinks a photographic image has to be as the camera sees it. I prefer what the artist sees. |

It takes just oneby snafflesComment: I don't know whether the tree is coated in ice or over sharpened, but either way, I like the bright effect. |
