Creepy Creekby KaliComment: I can't see the "creepy" in this - what a sweet little beastie. Nice close-up with a good balance of highlight. |

Pensiveby KenComment: Very beautiful - lovely balance of light in the dark...just the right amount of highlight. |

Alison Lapperby mrmorrisComment: Exquisite idea: I love how the light is almost a pencil line drawing the outline of a figure....but I just cannot make out what's happening at the bottom of the image - looks like a shortened, deformed leg.....idea brilliant, execution problematic, because it leaves the objective viewer a little confused? Maybe it's just me though? |

Directionby GiorgioComment: I would have really liked the guy on the pavement to be looking down this way... just for heightened interest level. Great conversion to B+W with nice contrasts. |

Movementby tannahComment: Love the movement of this in terms of the almost "fish eye" effect (must be the curved building and the slightly angled camera). the partial desat is also intriguing (used it in my shot and it's being met with a general disdain). Your use of the desat red on the central figure really brings him out as your main character and the eye wants to follow him up the road as if he were actually moving. I like the way that as my eye moves off him up the road it is arrested by the old man and his walking stick and the mental wondering continues. |
