The Thinkers Cornerby HarryYComment: I don't mind the motion blur of the leaves, as long as the main subject is nicely in focus (which this one is). It lends a nice soft quality to the photo. there does appear to be quite a bit of noise, probably due to the 30 sec exposure. might try some noise reduction software, or use CS3's noise reduction in the Raw converter. |

Forgotten Bluesby trevytrevComment: I really like this one. the other truck in the background works, too. I like the blue color; it really makes the truck pop out of the frame. |

Wyeth House -2by krnodilComment: for old weathered wood, I usually prefer this color palette. when I set WB, I usually go for this look. but I have to admit, I kind of like your blue version just as much. It lends a certain coolness that looks kind of winterly. |

Ragged Redby HarryYComment: I also prefer the BW version. I bet if you had done another white balance, you could have gotten a more brownish red color, instead of bright red. Might try playing with white balance as the month goes along. It can be fun to change WB using the grass, or a white card. can give different looks that work in different situations. |

The Wayby trevytrevComment: the tilt works here. the dark stairs lead me right into the frame. the glow effect looks cool on the leaves, too. |
