Licence to Killby PeterPicComment: very traditional, very classical look - that's how a poster for another James Bond would look like. I usually love the soft focus but however on this photo it gives a soft dream like look that doesn't go well with the title in my opinion. on the other hand maybe "killing you softly"? :) nice photo. |

From Russia With Love - 1963by idnicComment: this looks very indian and not at all russian to me:) still I think it is a very ncie composition and I like the drink on the left side, it gives some depth to the photo, in my opinion. |

Casino Royaleby thegrandwazooComment: it's a bit sad that the important things on the first plan are a bit out of focus. I think it would also be nice with a bit more light on the left shoulder to prevent it from being one with background. |

"A rose is a rose is a rose"by taljComment: :) explaining my weird comment:
this quote from Gertrude Stein has a special meaning to postmodernists. since I am very much into postmodern I have been thinking about this frase a lot.
postmodernists took that frase and "shifted" it's meaning from "the things are what they are" to "the things repete themselves endlessly and without any meaning". I just tried to use this second postmodern meaning and apply it to a photo (a photo in general, not this particular one).
:) sorry for a long comment but you asked to explain. I like the photo. |

Shaping the Loafby dsidwellComment: I absolutely agree, it is very underrated! :(
I like it a lot and I don't really know exactly why. probably because it is so natural and still not hyper-naturalism. :) |
