This is a wonderful image. Just enough light for the boatman and the rest of the scene in faded light. Makes me wonder ... well, lots of things. So literally wonder-ful to me.

The rest of the herd may be just out of sight to the left, but I don't know, since the elephant can see what I cannot. I just see a wistful gaze into the bush. Well done. (And as an aside, did the elephant sit on that tree LOL?)

Beautiful face, especially her eyes. I would have preferred a crop on the ROT to cut out some of the busyness on the left, I think. And a solid-colored dress, but that would be difficult to edit into existence.

DOF adds interest to a common object. I probably would have composed it as coming up from the lower right corner (same angle to the pen), which is admittedly more conventional.

I'd prefer a smooth background, I think, and softer lighting. Not sure about the composition but I have no idea what's the most interesting way to arrange such objects.
