Gawd, kittens are SO CUTE! OK, back to the pic: nice detail and focus on the kitten; a simpler background at the top would make him/her stand out even better.

Nice composition. I'd burn the eyes a little to eliminate the green eye effect and then sharpen them. Cats' eyes are worth emphasizing :-)
