Flower looks a little soft to me but the background is decidedly complementary in colors and tones. Would prefer that one bright vertical line on the left was following the direction of the other lines instead of crossing them, and I would rotate just a bit to put the stem smack in the corner and crop a bit more off the top for balance. Nice effect overall, despite my nitpicking.

Nicely done, and I think it's more challenging to have the background use the same color as the foreground and still have the subject stand out so well. I might have rotated it a bit so the flower was primarily leaning into the picture instead of out of it; it just feels slightly off-balance to me compositionally. Excellent entry overall.

It *is* a lovely branch, with echoes of the shape in the background. The very bright spots are a little too bright for my taste, but overall a lovely image.

My fave so far :-) Fabulous detail on the bird (look at that eye!!!) and the windblown feathers; like the composition with the curve of the branch, and the background sets it all off nicely, with the added bonus of the cream-colored patch matching the curve of the bird's cheek.
