How surprising! Great concept and very nicely executed. Not the kind of shot I expected to see in this challenge but I think it works beautifully. The background does enhance the subject, IMO, by echoing it softly back and at the same time drawing my eye back in to the reflection in the drop. Cool :-)

Kind of impressionistic! Lovely colors and the background is pretty without being overwhelming. Think I might like a touch more DOF so some more of the stem was in focus, but very lovely image as is.

It almost looks like those flowers in the back are ascending to heaven ;-) Nice blue in the sky and nice colors overall. The background flowers are a little too well-defined for this challenge IMO, but there are a million opinions on the subject of good bokeh and mine is just one!

Very nice find for this challenge! I can just barely see those threads suspending the twig and the background is nicely complementary, light and dark in all the right places.

Yellow Mountain Flower

Flower looks a little soft to me but the background is decidedly complementary in colors and tones. Would prefer that one bright vertical line on the left was following the direction of the other lines instead of crossing them, and I would rotate just a bit to put the stem smack in the corner and crop a bit more off the top for balance. Nice effect overall, despite my nitpicking.

Nicely done, and I think it's more challenging to have the background use the same color as the foreground and still have the subject stand out so well. I might have rotated it a bit so the flower was primarily leaning into the picture instead of out of it; it just feels slightly off-balance to me compositionally. Excellent entry overall.
