Really like the lighting on this one, and the softness.

I don't blame them. Only another Muscovy would find him attractive! If you've got the detail I'd go for a tighter crop; the goose looks particularly haughty and I'd love to see that better.

Aww, poor little guy. I can just see him in the same pose on year after year of Black Fridays, without the stuffed animal for most of them ;-)

My favorite of the candy shots (don't you hate it when a bunch of other people have similar ideas?). The blatant differentness of the blue M&M works nicely to convey the challenge topic, and I like its placement in the frame.

Lovely sentiment, very nicely conveyed. Lighting, DOF and POV all enhance the image.

There is a lot to like about this. At first glance I thought the spectator had her head turned in the same direction as the portraits, but then realized that was an optical illusion of sorts. Kudos on getting just the right angle to do that. The painting looks cockeyed and the horizon isn't level, but somehow that isn't bothering me, and the frame echoing the portrait frame is a nice touch. My first inclination was to say her posterior should be cropped out, but on reflection everything about her - fuschia sweater, too-tight pants, oddly magenta tint in her hair - is sort of the antithesis of the noble, gently lit, subtle tones of a Rockwell. She doesn't belong with those she contemplates. I wonder what she was thinking?

Unique POV and excellent photo for this challenge. Her expression and her being withdrawn in her hood is perfect for conveying a kid who doesn't feel she's part of what's happening around her.

That's sad. His slumped body language and hidden face contribute mightily to the mood, and your title is perfect.
