Found in the Dirtby UrfaKComment: I like the shape of the leaf and the diagonal leading line of the pipe. Nice, subdued tones, too. |

Kiss the Brickby elemessComment: Very nice shot of a brick wall. Looks like perfect rule of thirds composition, and nicely imperfect bricks, besides. |

Here for the Holidaysby dsternerComment: Without the little fake lights this would have looked real enough to more closely meet my idea of the challenge. But frankly the birds around here are slouches in the decorating department, so while pretty, this is definitely not something I see ... well, ever. Nicely done shot, though. |

Web Questby emmylouComment: I keep trying to figure out why I like this so much. I think because it's just so incredibly random-looking, with this beautifully colored feather in a tiny spider web on a decaying log, and detail in all the right places to appreciate it. I'm not sure I like the dark space and white blotch on the right so much, but I'm not sure I'd crop it, either. I suspect I will come back and ponder this one some more because it intrigues me! |

Frazer Manhattanby Yo_SpiffComment: Nice find! The reflections show a person and blue sky, while the background is pure black ... the discrpancy is a bit distracting from the car itself. |

Silent nightby LonzComment: I adore the composition and lighting. Simple and so very lovely to my eyes. But (and it's a pretty big "but") it looks awfully oversaturated on my monitor. I can't tell you how much I wish that weren't the case!!! Also, it could use maybe a bit more contrast to get rid of the halo around the light bulb. |

Hope dies lastby ocelotComment: Rather a sad title :-( But don't worry; if you save the seeds you can plant more flowers next year (assuming it's not some weird sterile hybrid). I like the detail showing the lovely icy crystals and the drooping, fading petals. It looks just a touch softer than I expect at the center of the flower. |

Winter Fenceby mjusimomComment: The diagonal composition and cool tones are quite lovely, and I like that the posts and rope are worn, the trees aren't perfectly sheared, and even the snow isn't perfect. |

lock no lockby posthumousComment: Bit of settling occurred over time, eh? Give it another year and the ivy will cover both parts of the lock! Nice subject for this. Love the rust and weathered look; could use maybe a touch more DOF to get the right side lock part (uh, the slidey bit) in sharper focus. |

a little beauty in an imperfect worldby jmritzComment: Marvelous detail, and cardinals are such a lovely part of a winter scene, even if they are "common." Wish you had his tail in the picture, but still a wonderful image. |
