Ducks are spooky, in my experience. Geese will stay put much longer and even hiss at you for bothering them, but ducks take flight, loudly. Good catch to get the one. Sometimes I point the camera in the direction where I think they'll take off and get some good flight shots that way. If they're cooperative and I guessed right ;-)

I really like the composition of this.

Looks to be in decent shape for an abandoned building. I like the shapes of the windows and the fluting (is that the right word?) on top of the tower and the building.

I don't have a quaint Main Street in my town ::sigh:: I love wandering around places like this. There are plenty within driving distance, but a lot of them are more touristy than functional so I just windowshop.

This is nice processing, too, with the bits of red popping out and drawing my eye through the picture. I still like the other one better; it just has that extra bit of character from the processing that appeals to me.

The processing works *very* well with this image. If you'd had any modern people in it I don't think I would have liked it as much.
