Shot feels busy to me. It's actually kind of fun to crop it down to just a bit of boat and the plant in front because it looks like a giant tongue licking the plant, but I'm not sure how that would play in a Boat challenge ;-) I might try some different angles or crops to see if that made it less busy, but that's me.

Hmm. Looks too much like smoke swirling around a toy boat. The illusion might have worked better with the boat in water or somehow appearing to be in water. That said, lighting is kind of fun and it's a very cool toy boat.

The lighting is superb and I love the pastels and the detail on the fur. Now I'm going to be tempted to tell all my clients to meet me at sunset by the water :-) I know human portrait photographers try this, but I hadn't thought it would work so well for animals. Just lovely. (And BTW, in my experience Bulldogs have AWESOME personalities so it's nice to see one portrayed so well).
