You want me to think OUTSIDE of the box???by NobodyComment: Someone needs her nails clipped! I like the hay; was that a bribe? I would think the box would be enough, as any self-respecting guinea pig would be happy to munch on it. She does look a bit puzzled and the pose with her head turned is actually quite lively for a piggie pic. The rough edge on the top of the box adds interest. |

Bee in a Beard Tongueby GeneralEComment: The position of his little legs makes me think he was digging for something, like in the old cartoons when people were throwing things behind them while getting ever deeper into their closets. Really interesting flower, too, with the hairy bits inside. Fun image :-) |

Coneflowerby FrostyPawsComment: Lovely coneflower; great lighting and you got the middle looking nice and sharp as it should. They're wonderful flowers; very popular with the pollinators when in bloom and then later with the finches when they go to seed. |

Highly Suspiciousby Brent_SComment: Took me awhile to find the box; I should've figured it out faster given that I live near DC and an innocuous box in the "wrong" place routinely creates havoc. Rather eerily still. |

Bee & Petalsby KelliComment: It's another bee! He looks a bit sprawled, like he's napping on the job ;-) I like the light on the flower petals, too. |

ORANGE - Day 1by sherpetComment: Wow; I'm drawn right into the center by all those marvelous well-defined veins on the wrinkly petals, and the center holds more great shapes and textures. Great start! |

Dahlia-Detailby sfaliceComment: Huh; never tried a technique like that. It really does create a surreal effect, particularly towards the bottom where it so sharply defines the petal edges. I'd probably crop a little tighter to show that off, too. Looking forward to seeing some more examples of this processing! |

173 Spiderwortby pixelpigComment: Look at all those wonderful feathery bits :-))) Beautiful colors and it does feel cool and shady (which would be a nice change of pace for me right about now!). I like the soft lighting, too.
The flower looks like a blue Trillium, maybe? Do you know? It's lovely. |

Squash Blossoms and Thymeby BAMartinComment: Squash blossoms; what a clever idea! My neighbor's squash is taking over her garden. I bet if she picked some of the blossoms and used them like this she wouldn't have so very many zucchini to try and get rid of later! |
