"Brush Your Teeth or I'll Punch 'Em Out!" Dental Assistant/Karate Instructorby Blue MoonComment: I am probably repeating what 10 others have already said, but here goes anyway:
I like your idea and interpretation, but don't care for the full-on flash look.
Try bouncing it, using additional lights, reflectors, etc.... anything to soften those shadows. Then step away from the wall a bit more and presto... an improved photo. |

Farm Livingby DianaComment: What a magical shot. I keep playing with curves and levels, and each different look that achieves has its own merits. One of my two favorites in this challenge. |

Yard Ratby ShermyComment: I don't care for this type of post processing, but at least this particular photo is suited for it. |

Landscapeby whiterookComment: Some suggestions for this one:
1) level your horizon
2) turn off your date stamp (those things get you DQ'ed, I'm surprised that hasn't happened yet)
3) I am guessing that the haze was caused by sunlight hitting the lens. A lens hood would have avoided it, but a little tweak in curves does wonders for this photo after the fact.
4) If you had positioned yourself so that you created some diagonals, you might have ended up with a stronger composition. |

Network Administratorby MichaelCComment: I can't make up my mind about this one. The concept of the photo - as it relates to the challenge - is both a unique and clever take on it, as well as a total cop-out :-)
Since I can't decide, I'll just judge it by the merit of the photo itself. |
