This confuses depth of field with perspective.

I think you missed the point of the challenge, that is to use perpective, a sense of depth, distance and the relationship of objects near and far, to create a sense of drama. This photo is more of a two-dimensional abstract.

I like this cow. I like hair on her head (is this a cowlick) and her big black eyes. I think I'd like to see her feet and left ear and all of her in sharp focus.

By far this is the best real leopard-spot entry. I wonder if youd have had the depth of field to have the holes in clear focus if it would be an improvement. Just a little less tightly framed to show a bit of ears and mouth might also help.

the drop-shadow frame elevates this from odd photo to abstract canvas.

this is really cool as an almost abstract wet reptile thing. It lacks either context or a primary point of focus, but its off the scale (pun intended) in pattern and color

great photo. Beautiful water but maybe too much of a good thing. More tightly cropped particularly at the top. I partially scroll the image off my computer screen and I like it better.

What's with the water? really clear, shallow light colored bottom. Like liquid silver at the bottom and clear as glass at the top.

There is a very interesting white-on-white pattern in the bark that is maybe just a little to bright.
