I marked you above 5 on this, I like it as a photo, but think it could have been handled different post processing (if that's your thing).

I may have been tempted to reduce the brown on the chair, less saturated and then perhaps even introduce grain or other filter that 'aged' the shot.

You called it 'an Old Friend' yet the chair itself appeared relatively new. Not sure if others saw that.

Another thought is perhaps more of the porch/deck in the foreground so the chair itself is 'less'?

Hope you get some answers that will help. It's a very nice picture.
