Peace Pleaseby SonifoComment: minus the selective desat, this is my favourite composition so far. I'd have givin it a higher vote if it were either all colour or duotoned.
everything else about it is perfect. my top vote so far. |

The Splash of a Kiwiby terjeComment: neat idea inverting the pic like that...though i'd have preferred it if you leveled the water rather than the kiwi i think. it's very crisply focussed , which i like, but methinks it's maybe a little oversharpened as all your highlights have that "USM glow" to them. Of course, that may simply be your lighting too...can't really tell.
nonetheless, a great shot. |

Tokeby peeteComment: you're taking a chance with the title given the site's TOS, but it's a) cool, b) Canadian, and c) only suggestive, not literal, so maybe you'll get away with it. good concept, a little weak in the llighting department. Perhaps a darker background would have allowed you to cast more light directly at the bottle. it's hard to get rid of highlights and reflections and still give adequate light. good effort. |

Puffyby jmleliiComment: i bet that sweater smells awesome :S little harsh lighting onthe hands...you're getting a few blown highlights. nice lighting on the face, and interesting concept. Using multi-directional lighting (3 sources or more) would soften some of the shadows and bring back some of the models features. |

Longing for yesterdayby JinjitComment: I'd have set this back from the background a bit, and then backlit the candle itself, rather than the wall - 2 reasons: 1) then the smoke would be going into darkness which would make for some really cool contrast and make you smoke stnd out more, and b) then you'd eliminate the shadow cast by the candle and holder. solid effort. |
