i like the emotion that you caught here...i know gorillas don't express themselves the same way we do, but it's still quite captivating. the crop is nice, the DOF is good. the lighting seems really flat though; more contrast would definitely help, particularly on the lower end of the tonal range (i.e., the blacks need to be blacker i think). nice submission.

this is very Mag-esque...nice toning as always, great lighting and sharpness as always. subject matter is a little contrived, but chicks with guns scare me a little so I'll keep my vote up nice and high. nice work.

Arizona or Utah? ok maybe nevada. i think AZ. anyway - the composition is decent, though i think the bigger of the two peaks is cramped at the top...maybe a little more of that beautiful blue sky would open it up some. Nice DOF and tonal range...perfect exposure.

fabulous. I did a whole series like this in the early spring, and it's still my favourite style. a little hot in the upper right, which can be avoided it you expose for the white point (the brightest part) and dodge the rest of the photo up to it. As it stands the bright part overshadows (pardon the pun) the rest of the picture. Unless of course you wanted it like that, then forget everything i said. that's just how I'd have done it :)

very nice. i think i can see a hint of colour in there...or maybe i'm imagining it. nice effect, though the pic overall is a little dark for a portrait in my mind. her face blends into the backdrop a little too much i think. a little creative dodging would make this a masterpiece. nice submission...I like it.

interesting portrait. the crop could be a little tighter and still retain enough detail in his surroundings to place him. a tiny bit of dodging in his face you really bring out the detail; his face has a lot of character, and wants to be recognized :)
nice job.

So nice. love the colours. REALLY love the texture you get from the low sunlight. the shadows at the bottom in front of the focal tree bug me a little, but that's a nit-pick. I love it. looks like fall near my house. well done.

kind of surreal. I love the clouds and sunburst, but the grass up front looks a little off...almost like the effect you get when you use shadow/highlight filter in Photoshop, or you over-dodge or something. not sure what it is. nice overall effect in the image. good balance, nicely divided into thirds. I'd really like to see the original of this. my guess is you've done a lot of work to improve it.

apt title. interesting cloud pattern, and sunburst. technically almost perfect. compositionally I might have opted for less blue, and fill the frame with more cloud, but that's just a personal preference thing. nice shot.
