a root from an old cypress treeby grigrigirlComment: you've got a great eye. that's a really cool looking root. nice colours and texture to this pic. subtle black border was a good choice too. The bottom left corner inthe only part i don't love, since the root falls off a bit. pretty hard to avoid, since you needed to keep the 'image' in the frame. nice job |

Stallion by eikidigiComment: i like the crop, but not the lighting so much. it's great on the face, little dark on the neck. either a fill-flash or a reflector for the sun moght help (assuming you agree with me :) ) Love the glow on the mane. |

Watching The Detectivesby jimmythefishComment: hell yes. myfavourite image so far. I really like this. i can't tell if it's posed or not, which is one of the things i love about it. don't listen to the anal-retentives who tell you it's not filling the frame. I'll be watching to see how this places. it better be high. great depth, nice ambient light. I like that you metered to the guys inthe back, muting the front face a bit. |

Full Figuredby ImagineerComment: yow. hot picture. love the depth - nice and crisp onthe 'subject' with a little blur on the nose and J-Lo glasses. a wee bit off centre on the face, but that's tough when you're looking down to be sure it's from straight above. nice job |

I am watchin' youby AnastasiaComment: don't listen to those people who tell you this is too grainy or contrasty. it looks fantastic like that. very nice image. don't know if it's possible or not (not sure how much zoom was involved) but a fill flash would light this guy's up beautifully. As it stands, they're a little shadowy. This better score well. |

prey by grigrigirlComment: Love that glow border, Julia. PERFECT for this shot. I'd be interested to know how you go the tops of the monument lit so well, while keeping the rest in shadow.
Very nice work...again.

smoking in bedby grigrigirlComment: Im willing to risk it. Let's do smoking-fire-charred-house-nudes! Points to you J - you come up with some of the best setting to shoot pics of anyone I know. You're either really lucky, or really good (I think I know which). Helene hit it bang on with her assessment when she mentioned the texture here. Crisp focus lets me feel this pic like i was there. great shot. |

Reflecting on Anna by dan_pendletonComment: Very, very good. Great use of the free-edit rule, and a very powerful image. the lighting is bang-on as well. can't find much wrong with it. What did it look like with the colour reflection? (I KNOW you tried it!) |
