When the Pickin's Done by dsidwellComment: Wow. great photo. Nothing I can suggest to improve it...the border however...You should either add a normal border or feather it all the way in. As it is now, it looks messy with the feathering and the line. Still a 10 from me though, as I don't mark down for borders. I usually only add points for a really nice original border, which I think you were trying for, but it doesn't work for me. Luckily, you don't need that extra point anyway! Great job and good luck. |

A Pint Please Barmanby stuartComment: lol. Really funny. I love everyone's expression. It might have been better from the other side of the bar though so you could see the dog holding his cigarette... |

Reverieby OlyuziComment: Doesn't say "country life" to me, but I'm not one of those picky voters, so don't worry, just lettin you know...I like the DOF used to create the softness on the boats in the back and I absolutely love the name of the boat! |

Garden Gateby Everyday ReneeComment: I think you would have benefited by taking this shot at a different time of day when the sun wasn't so direct and harsh. The light is really overpowering the image and taking away from the subtle shades of greens that I know are there. In the right light they would dynamically play. Really nice compostion on this, although it may be a tad bit heavy on the right. |

Stock Rampby LuckydogComment: The colors seem oversaturated in this and the light in the sky is a bit harsh. Otherwise, it is an interesting shot with a lot of potential. |

Serenity in the country!by loz1Comment: I like the soft tones in this and I'd really like to know how this effect was achieved. Do you do wit with a lens on the camera or with some sort of photoshop post processing. I can make images look like this in PS, but all the ways I can do it well are illegal, so I can never submit anything. Let me know if you can. Oh, and don't worry, I'm not going to request a DQ or anything. I'm not one of those people :) |

The Millby alanfreedComment: Very nice scene. Looks like a peaceful picnic kinda place. Something about the darkness on the left and how it spreads over the river is slightly bothersome, but that isn't your fault of course. Nice job. Good luck. |

Still lifeby jochenComment: That's pretty cute. So much so that I think maybe a zoomed in shot would have been more effective. As it is, the photo seems unbalanced with the heavy branches filling the frame on top and the tree being crooked. Overall, a really nice scene that's sure to lead to many wonderful photos. Moving in on the subject would add more focus and detail to it and make the image simpler and more powerful. |
