Immersedby jjbeguinComment: I like this image, but I'm not sure how well it suits (no pun intended) the nude challenge. The harsh lighting is very effective as is the mysterious single eyed reflection. |

Untitledby ChiquiComment: this looks a tad out of focus in a way that doesn't really add to the shot. Otherwise, the use of lines and composition is interesting. The cuffs look a bit too loose though! |

Evil femme-botby lemmingComment: Strange idea, the fingers over the eyes, but i find it interesting. I don't care for the drab background. I would have prefferred solid white or black, or something even more interesting, which would have been possible giving the open editing rules of this challenge. |

Sandcastlesby ellamayComment: lol. this image is strikingly humorous and emotive at the same time. I could see it on the wall at an inner city nudist colony or something! Nice work. |

Mt. St. Judeby fleenkComment: lol. This is funny. I was hoping to see some humorous stuff in this challenge. it's a shame the goat looks so fake though, you could have edited in a photo of a real goat since the editing rules didn't apply this challenge. Nice work anyway! |

The Upstairs Maidby jodiecostonComment: not sure i like the way the nipple is peeking out, it looks too placed and unnatural. Otherwise a very nice image. Like the black and white as contrasted by the color. |

Serenity in the country!by loz1Comment: Critique Club:
Hey, funny I should get this for the critique club after already corresponding with you about it. As you already know, I liked this shot alot. I also think you already know what's good and what's bad about your photo.
This shot is great in terms of tone and focus (in my opinion, obviously not everyones) but lacking in terms of composition and lighting, which were both out of your control. I think you did a nice job of minimizing the blown out highlights of the sun behind the trees. I didn't find it that distracting, but it would surely be better without them. I actually find the highlight on the horses nose (not sure what a horses nose is called :) interesting because I think it is a white marking, but I'm not sure. I think it is an interesting, even if unintended, effect of drawing the eye there.
All in all, it's a damn shame that the horses didn't want to cooperate and pose professionally for and that you can't jump over fences and move other people's horses. I think this is a beautiful photo and you should be very proud of how it came out given the circumstances. |

Country Life 1850by JakComment: Critique Club:
Greetings! There's not a lot of major comments I can make about this that haven't already been said by other people. I agree with all of them. This would have benefitted tremendously by being in black and white or sepia to give it an old look to match the scene and it would have been better to move in closer to make the scene less busy. I'm guessing that you took this passing through and felt awkard asking these people if they minded posing for a picture.
All in all, I thought this met the challenge very well and in an interesting way but the image itself isn't what it could have been if you had really stuck around and worked the scene a bit. Even as it is now, without taking another photo, I think it might benefit from a tighter cropping, if you didn't lose resolution.
The other question I found myself asking when I saw this shot is: would they have really had a pineapple? :)
