My new bedroomby joespiceComment: I really like what you've captured here. There are some cozy nights in my own bedroom or in other rooms of my house that are so thrilling and contented, that I desperately want to try and capture the good memories and the sweet atmospheres in a photograph. But I can't. Your image has captured that sensation though. It makes me want to curl up and read that book. :) VERY well done! |

Among Death, Lifeby atsxusComment: Sadly, I'm not entirely sure how this meets the challenge... I am confused by the title. But it's so artistic, so beautiful. :) Lovely image. |

Bellaby teebee2eComment: The gray background against the snowy white is so ellegant - nice portrait. |

New Young Idol In The Arena Of Crueltyby nutzitoComment: beautiful capture - the colors are splendid, and the tones exquisite. If possible, though, eliminating the red walls from this photo might have increased the impact. Excellent image! |

New Farm Park Tree'sby PompouspeteComment: Well, here's my two cents. :)
Perhaps this might have actually done a little better in the "Something Old" challenge.... The tree is obviously very old, whereas the connection between a farm or park being new is maybe stretching it a little. Just my opinion. :)
As for the image itself, it's interesting, but the composition isn't very exciting. The subject is awesome, but all the textures, lights and shadows make it difficult to photograph! I would suggest trying to photograph it from different points of view - try getting under the tree and looking upwards. A close-up shot of that amazing tree trunk could also be a possibility. Or, if the background isn't too cluttered, you might be able to get an intersting shot by backing up and having the tree on the side of the photo. I do really like the black and white tones though, they work VERY well here!
Hope this was helpful! :) |
