hmm... this is a very clever idea, and well executed! I will admit however that my first impression was not so good, until I read the details. The top almost looks like it wasn't exposed properly, instead of looking like a neat time-exposure trick. Perhaps the viewer would "get it" if there was a little motion streak trailing after the apple top. Just a thought. :) I really like the nice clean light and the rich colors though, and it certainly is a neat idea!

I keep coming back to look at this. I've been trying to figure what to say on this. I could say "it's straight from a dream," but I've said that before with other less shocking photos. But this really is straight from a dream. I mean, like you litterally took a snapshot of a place I dream about. (I have really wierd dreams :D ) And I'm constantly trying to find any sort of image that has even a hint of an atmosphere from a dream. I've definitely found it here, which thrills me more than I can say.

I would really love to know how you edited it to get those colors and wierd shadowy contrasts.

This is just such an incredible image. I can't think of a proper adjective to describe it. I am totally blown away by it. Thanks for sharing.

WOW.Very neat... i like how the land's colors are almost a little pale, washed out. But the colors of the water are hard, dark, and almost volcanic. Interesting contrast.
