This is difficult for me to click away from, it holds my attention in a way I can't explain. Looks like the open prairie near the Canada/US border. Love the dried-up old wood, the juicy green grass, the breezy sky.

I never tire of flower shots & this one is a beauty. I like it that you didn't touch it up to perfection but left a few black specks in place. It looks shot on location by natural light & I like that, too. 10 & a fav from me!

I haven't tried to use my scanner yet, but I expect it will require some experimentation to figure it out. I like this as a comp. Makes me wonder how all these shots got together on one roll & reminds me of the days when I'd keep a roll in the camera for so long that some of the shots would come as a surprise. I like digital much better.

I had to smile when I read your comments re the 'cropped ear,' for I like what it does to the negative space, too, & also the effect it has on the edge of the comp. Nobody said anything about the cropped whiskers, but I like that, too. The framing adds to the immediacy of the shot & complements the alert, serious face. The catchlights in the eyes give a slightly sleepy twist to the expression. IMO all cats are philosophers--I feel much more philosophical whenever I look at a cat!
