I'm thinking Classics of Literature when I look at this. I especially like the difference in blue of the sky & the snow. I looks like January, the Starving Month. The scratchy overlay makes me wonder who saved this photo, & why?

I'm thinking that Street Scenes Without People should be a separate category. That's what makes this look "old" to me. No people. Technology that required a long exposure time, so that anything moving through the frame didn't get captured. The clothes on the line are not moving. It looks still, overcast, a white sky. Vignette shadows work best when they're created by an overlay--& to my eye that's the main hint of the overlay. In other words--well done!

Well, I am a cat person but even I can see how terribly disappointed Boone is in you--no ball? How could you forget? We have a little mighty-dog in our house, a toy poodle, & I know there is nothing more pitifull than a disappointed dog. So, now you have to do one or two of Boone & the Ball.
