where secrets lieby tangueraComment: I came back hoping for Photographer's Comments -- thanks! I left my computer for a while & walked into the room with this on the screen I noticed that a much more exciting window when viewed from across the room, & I didn't much notice the chair. It really is a shame we don't at least have the option to 'click here' to view a larger image while voting (or at any time). Congratulations on your top ten finish! |

Door Window to a Secret Gardenby drake217Comment: That fine periwinkle blue combined with the warm buttered-toast gold could keep me here for hours. Lucky for me, while I'm here I have a fine composition to gaze at. There is nothing more magical than a secret garden. I wish I could see this one--or maybe not. What is that black oven-like cavity? Is this the secret garden of a wicked witch? |

windows updateby PennyStreetComment: The color unifies this really well, so that at first glance my mind accepts it without question. I enjoyed lingering to look around, discovering things. Maybe my fav is the knife on the counter. Or the skinny kids' legs. Good work. This Flying Pig is for you--
The Flying Pig thread was started in honor of those entries in Expert editing challenges that are outside the categories of traditional photography.
Photo montage as I understand it, is a process of combining multiple photographs into one image that looks as realistic as a single original image.
This wonderful composition uses the process of photo montage to combine many photo-realistic images & the result is not at all realistic, but more like personal moments remembered all at once, in a single vision. It is unique to its creator & experienced uniquely by each viewer.
I like it. |

throughby posthumousComment: I didn't recognize the walking figure right away, I was enjoying the shapes & shadows. She seems to be towing her bit of environment behind her as she hurries on to the next thing. In roving around the image, I noticed the upper L & R corners as non-contributing details. |

Wish I was there...by thrumyiisComment: Me too! There's a lot to look at & admire here. It takes my eye from the orange, to the red, straight out into the fresh air & sunshine. The contrast is dramatic, the shoreline looks inviting, the city sky is so amazing it has become my favorite. Like tears, like rain, like water over silk. Such a luminous grey. |

Window Washer's Nightmare by sfaliceComment: This metropolis looks beautifully warped in a nice variety of tones. I find myself thinking of a stack of hot pancakes with syrup. Nicely done. |
