It is fascinating that with the same general tools each one of us attempting this abstract thing creates compositions so completely unique & idiosyncratic.
Your compositions are always remarkable for their clear, precise color & a mood of quiet contemplation. I've noticed that you put a horizon line in many of them, which gives my eye a home base as I explore the color & line. These comps are so peaceful to look at...they're very difficult to comment on because I keep falling asleep. It took several days for me to write this.
From reading your notes I learned the technique of combining a blurred shot with a sharp one. I like the result, it's good to look at, & I'm still using that idea so that now my best comps always have a combination of blurred & sharp. Thank you. |
