I like the square crop in this photo. It gives you are size perspective between horse and rider. This is the type of photo that would be great as a "sequence". By itself it isn't neccesarily strong, but included with other photos in the same scene it would be very strong.

This is a very nice picture. I like how you used the frame on this one. However, as others pointed out the car is really the main deterent here. As for challenge apppeal, I am not sure. It seems a bit forced. I would have liked this photo if it were an apple better. That might not be true to the challenge, but it is truer to scene.

Let me mark the good points though, and there are really good points. The angle of the photo is terrific. There is good eye movement throughout the photo. I like the slight smile on the rider, the arch of the nech and head, and the anchor created by the fingers. Remove the car, and a bright red apple and I think you would have had a stunning photo.

This is a good shot. The expression on the little horse is wonderful and you captured a good moment here. One suggestion, I would have either cropped to the single horse here, or included more of the 2nd horse on the right. The other horse has a cute face too, but just seems a bit out of place. As for the challenge, I think this one would be hard for the DPCs to appreciate in terms of challenge context. The image is a good one!

Terrifice symmetry and the colors are great. A little confused on why the photo is upside down. Though it does give some interest. Above average rating.

Simple idea with good results. The moving line and texture makes this a good shot. I think a wider depth of field might have helped here. Above average rating.

Simply put, I like this photo. Very simple monochromatic image. Wonderful use of the frame. Might be hard to sell for the chllenge, but still highly rated.

Great idea for the challenge. Exposure is terrific, however I think the focus point and overall composition is hurting the overall idea. Still an above average rating.

Simple composition makes this a winner. The use of the frame while subtle is perhaps the strongest feature. Great lighting. Highly rated.
