the boys in blueby boysetsfireComment: I also like the angle in this, really brings the scene alive. Journalistic shots are so under rated on this site. The dominating blue color just adds that extra intelligence to the image. |

Exposure 3by jdannelsComment: Good catch. Wonderful use of filtered light come in and hitting the subject. Terrific idea with the polarizer. I need to invest in one myself. |

Turning 5by RetroesqueComment: Curious what the original looked light. Nice white highlights and a beautiful glow. Happy birthday to your son. |

Ocean-Beach-8-45-AM.by sfaliceComment: I think the crop/tele-shot photo is the best. It shows nice contrast detail with the side-lighting. The same effect gets a little lost when zoomed so far out. |

In the Valley of the Shadowby jdannelsComment: This is a different take on half dome, or at least one that I haven't seen this one. As such that is a plus. Love the way the trees funnel you in and the contrast against the blue. |

Shadeby JuliBocComment: A nice study of pattern. The softness in the shadow of the leaves creates a wonderful effect. I think some of the specialness of this photo gets lost in the top left corner as it doesn't seem to jive with the rest. Still an interesting photo and should have done better in this challenge. |

a question about fallingby posthumousComment: ISO 400 with a tripod, makes me chuckle. Like the thought out technique of reversing your lens. This is actually a very cool photo. The textures of the leaf edges are enhanced by the two tone palette. It creates a nice serene mood. I'm actually surprised this did not score in the sixes. I would have given you a 7 myself. |

Day 2 - Spheresby ephlnComment: I like the near perfect light symmetry across the spheres. Divides it into a nice equal light and dark. |
