I'm curious if you've gotten a comment like this - 'This is DNMC, the challenge is gather exactly two objects that are totally unrelated' - I got a comment like that on my photo. Your photo has pears, lightbulbs AND a plate - I guess that's 3 objects. However, I find your photo quite acceptable and very nice on top of that. Good luck to ya!

My goodness people...it's abstract macro - not just macro! The challenge was 'Take a picture so close up to something that it cannot easily be identified at first glance.' You got ripped-off as your photo CLEARLY meets the challenge FAR better then most. No offense to the photographers, it's the voting process...come on...it's clearly a flower, or a cat, or a baseball, or colored pencils. There is not even a change to wonder because it's SOOO obvious! Anyway, sorry for the rant...saving your photo to favs.

The background in the sky seems strange to me...could just be the weather - I don't know. I like the photo...I'm assuming it was taken either early or late in the evening...I like the lighting and the color of the 'Bergs'.
