Oh Porcelain God, I Pray to Thee!by ZeusComment: 'HOLY SHIRT' - too funny! Yes, I've seen that 'Darwin' modification to the the christian 'fish' (which I think is also funny [to me] refering to the 'creationism vs. evolution' theories) but 'no', not the DARWIN fish.
If you look back in history, the record of the ancient egyptians is one of the most preserved. We all know about the different astrological symbols - constellations - they are sometimes called 'Houses' or 'Ages'. It takes approximately 2160 years for the earth to travel from one 'age' to the next. Right now, we are approaching the 'Dawn of Aquarius' - nobody is exactly sure of the date. If you subtract today's year, you will find that is roughly when 'Paganism' fell to christianity (in popular belief). Looking back further, into popular ancient egyptian symbols, you can find that the 'Ram' which represents the 'Age' of Aries dominated the ancient egyptian culture. Prior to that (roughly 2160 years earlier), it was the Bull of Taurus. So, naturally, when the early christians in trying to find the easiest way to convert people to their faith, used familiar and similar beliefs of the former Pagan culture to make the transition not so diffucult for people. The christian 'age' started in the 'House of Pisces' - the fish. That's the 'fish' I'm talking about.
Anyway, this is fun but sorry it's not really about your photo or photography which is what I guess we should be disgusting. I mean discussing. I personally can respect whatever anybody wants to believe in - it's nothing to go to war over. |

Why did I book a window seat?by HavokComment: I'd gladly give up my aisle seat if you wanna switch! I think it's an awesome photo. Maybe just a tad too blue which I think could have been removed even in basic edit - I think? I'll go with an 8. |

Why?!?!?!by Jaded_HousewifeComment: Why? Because we're still not as civilized as we probably think we are. I love the photo part, I'm thinking it was taken thru glass like a shower door - but the sign? Well, I guess that's part of your message which is a powerful topic. I'm gonna have to disregard it as distracting but go with a 9. |
