In Earth's Shadowby scooter97Comment: This was an incredible night! I was fortunate to witness the entire event - unfortunately without a camera. All night long I kept thinking: 'Surely somebody at DPC will capture the moment and I can always remember it there'. Well, you've done a first class job here and thanks so much for your excellent work! |

At Peaceby shalrathComment: '...give me a few hints, tips, suggestions...What I'd really like would be some constructive feedback from anyone who knows more about this field than I (most everyone...) So if you have a moment...'
I'm no expert and have no studio experience. However, I have been looking at photos for a while: I hope that counts for something. I rated your photo at 8. I thought it was excellent photographically speaking: maybe slightly overly bright? I didn't give it a 10 because I felt it didn't have a 'Portrait' feeling and as much as I don't like centered objects/people, I felt Portraits done in a studio were generally done that way. I hope that might help somewhat...I'm sure others will have much better answers for you... |

The Story of Schauvaffen Landby riversongComment: You kinda went the same route as I did with my photo for this challenge. I even thought of using this story title for my photo but choose a different one in the end. The 'Schauvaffen Land' story was a real trip! So, I hope your photo is not getting bashed like mine is. Your photo is of better quality then mine and I don't think mine is a 10 by any means. But, it's not a 4 either but the voters think it is. I think your photo is beautiful and it fits the challenge: 10 |

Take The Picture Already!by ivale28Comment: Wow, what a difference a day makes...
Wait...that was 2 years ago. OH MY GOSH...!!!
For this one, I believe you were right and the voters were wrong: for the most part. I believed that this photo was way more 'Color Studio Portrait' then many of the photos that scored higher. Yes, they may have been better photos but I didn't see them as something somebody would do in a studio nor as a true portrait. Your lighting is a little bright but I think you got 'Studio Portrait' over many of the other photos. Keep up the great work and it's good to see your still at it! |

onion tears by yankoComment: Now that the show is over and I can read what everybody else had to comment, I'm glad to know I was not the only one. Like I said, it's an awesome photo. Maybe the DPC stands for 'contest' after all? Congrats - I guess... |

A horse with no nameby OdedComment: Didn't you flip us the bird? Hmmm? At least your not picking your nose: that was a horrible thing to make a child to for a challenge shot! It is certainly in 'color', it's a 'portrait' but there is a slight feel of not being in a 'studio'. I'm rating this one at 9. |
