Bridge Demolishion Underwayby OneSweetSinComment: I am really amazed that only one person caught my misspelling. I didn't catch it til after the challenge started and I just left it go. I'm now punishing myself for it... D-E-M-O-L-I-T-I-O-N!!!!!! |

Red or White ?by walblandComment: Critique Club
Nice image very interesting. I do think you could have withstood a little more light here.
Overall the image grabs my attention and holds it, but I think what hurt you is the average viewer doesn't see the connection easily to the challenge Choices, leaving it very weak as for meeting the challenge. |

Remember Whenby slingshotComment: Critique Club
It's a very interesting photo and before getting this to critique I had seen your post in the forum of both this and the full color version. I'm guessing you used Photoshop. I'm not sure if photoshop offers the sepia toning that PSP does, but that would have given you that nostolgic look without the pink sky. Which really the pink sky is your only downfall to this photo. The sky just grabs your attention and takes away from the caboose. Personally, I would have either used sepia toning or went with the natural colors. The sky just takes away from the rest of the photo.
Overall your focus is good as is the composition, and it does fit the challenge well. Keep up the good work and just watch out for distracting elements that take away from your subject.

Hurry up and waitby jazzmanmgtComment: Well it does fit the challenge. But beyond that it just appears to be a snapshot of the freeway, nothing popping out to grab and hold your attention. so it lacks that something extra. Message edited by HBunch - Removed Critique Club status. |

Between the Yellow Linesby dphillipsComment: Critique Club
Nicely fits the challenge. The image is lacking that luster to win. As someone else said this would have been a great selective saturation photo. Then you could have took the attention from the cars in the background and made the focus of your photo the yellow convertible. I believe the other cars in the parking lot just take from the subject. |

no sleep 'till... brooklynby fstopopenComment: Critique Club
Very nice image and well fitting the challenge. Not much you can do to improve here, only thing I can think of is to crop off the bottom and some on the right side to make all the negative space the area where the plane is headed, thus taking it out of the center of the photo.
Congrats on the good finish. |

Storm Cloudsby flip89Comment: Critique Club
I liked this photo in the challenge you did a wonderful job capturing a nice deep dof here. What I really think that kept you from that 6.0 or better is the buildings are just a little to dark, the tallest one is lost with no detail showing on it cause it is so dark while other buildings around it are more visable.
Overall you did do a good job meeting the challenge, keep it up. |
