Luminescenseby jgriecoComment: Really beautiful. A high score from me. The colored light is interesting, the black background clean, the white disc of light at center isn't overexposed, and the metallic flashlight doesn't glare (your lighting on it is perfect). The flashlight may be missing perfect symmetry by just a tad, but no points off for that! |

A little shortby photobuddyComment: This is clever, and very well done technically. Good depth of field, I like the lighting on the figure nad the glass, and the cherry really stands out. Well done! |

Smoke Signals by brownsmComment: Very effective. I love the many colors. Good depth of field, too. Looks complicated! |

Ubi's backby the great ubaldoComment: I'm sorry to give this such a low score, but I can't tell what is happening here. The white background is full of glare (overexposed) and maybe out of focus, and the foreground material is unidentifiable. |

Sexy Saturationby sacredspiritComment: Very sexy photo and model, and I like the desaturated look. My only criticism is thematic -- I wouldn't necessary think she is wearing a man's shirt were it not for the challenge theme. |

Jackquelineby KonadorComment: I like this very much, it has an apropriate ambiguity. The facial hair and the slightly wary look of the model makes me imagine this is the photographer's teenage son (and good sport), yet I suppose this could just as easily be someone who regularly goes by a woman's name. The colors of the dress, tree, and skin tones against the darker background are beautiful. Good depth of field. |

What are you looking at? by LalliSigComment: My first time voting for a DPC challenge (thought I'd start with a challenge that had fewer entries) and I'm casting my first vote for you! I don't have a good sense yet of what the numbers mean, but this is perhaps my favorite in the challenge so I'll give it a high number.
I love the ambiguity in this photo. The guys are clearly masculine and their looks are fierce and natural. It feels unposed, though I assume they dressed for the photo and this is not their usual garb.
The skin tones look great against all the black, and there is a sepia-like quality that is not forced.
Enough blathering, I'd better learn to shorten my comments. Best of luck!
