Definitely conveys a sense of calm, though a more placid surface would help say "still." I like your composition especially; I wish the boats were lighter to show off their colors (something you could maybe fix with PP outside of the challenge).

This is a beautiful shot, maybe a little oversharpene, but it works. It is like a famous painting (that I can picture in my mind, but can't identify further right now!). I love the bold colors against the red background. On the negative side, although any photo creates a "still", this doesn't say still (or stillness) to me, quite the opposite, as it is so vibrant and has so much movement.

Beautifully lit, good clarity, and I like the bright lights above the wheels. My only criticism (a minor quibble) is thematic in that the spinning (presumably the jet engine) must be assumed since it isn't visible.

Love the greens against the black, and the fact that the spin is obvious without being lost in a complete blur. I wonder if you'll catch flak for the light on the vase? It seems like an error but I've grown to like it.

(Edited comment): I think this is less (obviously) technically impressive than my other high-scorers in this challenge, but it is really imaginative and I have a (good) emotional response to it. I love the red against the dry corn. Tall corn? You must be in another hemisphere from me. Very creative!
