Threeby escapetoozComment: OMG, that is hilarious. What a trio of expressions. Teenagers are so predictable (but hey, they can get away with it because they're cute, I guess).

Snowy Silhouetteby doc_gonzoComment: Nice snow candid. Not a huge difference in the two crops you showed, but I think I prefer this one, only because in the alternate the receding figure is so close to the edge. Maybe a square crop would work as well? |

symp.jpgby Mike_AdamsComment: Nice! If you get a chance to add a Photographer's Comment, I'd love to know if this was shot with a star filter, or if the star effect was added in post-processing. Either way, well done.
{EDIT} PS: Thanks for the explanation of the long exposure = star effect. Message edited by author 2008-01-25 21:20:09. |

carolina-neon.jpgby Mike_AdamsComment: I love neon, especially old neon like this. I can see why you were draw to the sign, though the neon looks a bit muddied in the photo. |

Kuba1by malinaComment: Great portrait, really. If this were in a challenge I might fault it for needing to be a little sharper in the eyes. I like the subtle use of depth of field. Striking colors.
PS: I just saw your comment about losing sharpness while resizing. Yes, I know that problem, but haven't learned the solution (yet). Could you be using too much compression when you save? |

Week 3: Nadjaby Meda4Comment: Very well done. The brown background is a refreshing change from the usual black, and offsets her coloring nicely. Also like the touch of purple at bottom. The bright light accentuates the pale/goth look you were going for, I think. |

Bridgitby escapetoozComment: Terrific composition and as others have said your colors are amazing. So nice to see effective color that is not over-saturated. No, I don't see "death" at all.
Interesting, I think this is the first time I've ever read a comment from a photographer on DPC complaining about a model -- unless it was their own uncooperative child. It makes sense that some models *are* difficult and/or look different from their portfolio. |

Aceby escapetoozComment: Beautiful. I prefer the composition on this one as compared to your outtake, though the outtake seems a bit sharper. Love the sense of movement in both. |

Somewhere between Cherry and Madnessby jaysonmcComment: Great shot. Saw this while browsing the "recently commented on" photos. Just goes to show that you can't rely on your score or placement in a challenge to determine if a photo is good. |
