Nice pose! Really interesting story, too.

I got escorted out of the local Marriott Marquis when taking photos for the recent architecture challenge. Technically it was private property, despite the large open public areas. I'll spare you the blow-by-blow description, but it was an unpleasant experience. I contributed to the general mood by getting defensive. Looks like you had a better handle on things.

Just stumbled across this photo while looking at examples of the Nikon 85mm f/1.4D lens. Terrific photo, it reminds of me American Psycho -- not to imply anything about the model! :-)

I really like this emotive photo. I had a somewhat similar entry in the Rivers & Streams challenge (which did not do very well), but this one speaks more strongly.

Congratulations on a well-deserved ribbon!

Btw, people should wait until the challenge is over before posting outtakes, assists, etc.

EDIT: Oops, I see it has been removed. Meant no offense, in any case.

Typically I'm pretty tired of "drop/splash" photos, but the fact you pulled back and filled the frame with the clear cup and saucer somehow breathes new life into the concept. I can imagine this photo in a tea ad. You could probably have cloned out the specks in the lower-left and stayed within the editing rules. Overall, very well done!

I could easily imagine this photo being used in an advertisement for jazz. Beautiful lights and darks!

I'm back to bump this from a 9 to a 10. I keep asking "How did he do this?" Could be an actual, successful ad, I think.

In terms of exposure, composition, clarity, ,etc., this is surely one the best in the challenge. I realize you probably lifted the frame color from the Old Spice logo, but I don't think it helps your photo. I also wish there was a little more connection between the product and the environment. Still, a high vote from me.

Simple and straightforward take on the theme, and the "highlighted" frame makes sense and is actually kind of witty!
