Hand Me That Bulb by JeniYComment: Already gave this the highest score possible, but I wanted to let you know this gets my vote for "best in show." I recognize that the impact of this photo relies heavily on post-processing, but it is beautifully done. (Now, if I learn later that this is a special one-step filter, I may be less impressed!) |

My Reasonsby chesireComment: Your daughter is precious. Thanks for sharing your story. I have friends who's young daughter also has diabetes. I'm supporting them in their annual bike rides for the JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes. |

Cassisby black_countComment: What a beautiful town. Could be seen as more urban than rural, but not a big deal. Nice blues (polarizing filter?). Slight tilt, could use a bit of rotation to the left. Overall very appealing! |

Small Town, PAby escapetoozComment: I think in the interest of punching this up you went to the artificial extreme. Oddly interesting, candy-colored view. |

The Forgotten Farmby hfriesenComment: Wrong challenge, I guess! Anyway, pretty subject, I like the waving wheat, and nice juxtaposition of the old and new subjects.
Several problems: seems to lack sharpness - might be a resizing issue. Horizon line is centered, conventional wisdom says it is more visually interesting if the horizon is on one of the "thirds." Also, exposure is a bit blown out in the clouds. |
