Glad to know you didn't bend the rules. I think what confused me about the person on the ground is that she appears out of proportion (too small) compared to the walking man -- which is why I thought she was added to the image digitally. Plus it's hard to tell, but it's almost as if she has a metallic mask covering her face. Anyway, intriguing image!

Funny how many people didn't "get" this -- I thought your friend's expression said it all! And it never occurred to me the tattoo was anything but his tattoo. A different take on the subject, but meets the challenge. Definitely an underrated effort.

I admit I didn't get the "troll" reference because I didn't see the word in the image (I still think it's a bit of a stretch). However, the "o" is the focus, and I voted high on this because I thought it captured the essence of the challenge.
