victdp.jpgby IraklisComment: Really striking use of bold color contrasts, and I like the lone figure. Nice how the shadow at top and the black tile at bottom create a sort of "natural" letterbox frame. |

00003CFL_0644.jpgby ericwooComment: Of your first group of six, this is my favorite. It makes me curious as to what the two men are doing, and I like the guy looking on through the ticket window. |

tykesby tnunComment: I really like your subjects, and the contrast of the big legs next to the little children. It's odd, though, because above the fence rail the background is washed out. It almost seems like two different backgrounds. I might try cropping so the sky isn't visible, though of course you'd lose the veiny arm of the man on the left, which is an interesting detail. |

Morning Shaveby pawdrixComment: Another "from the hip?" Makes me think of Sylvia Plachy's old Village Voice series.
Btw, this year I started dry shaving some mornings. I know it's bad for the skin, but some days I can't be bothered with the full shave! |

Alone In A Crowdby bvyComment: Poor guy can't even pick his nose without it ending up on the internet. LOL
Great texture in his face, hands, and denim jeans. I like the well-manicured hand holding the purse, too. Something about the woman's presence adds to the "story" of this image. |

The performerby MaggyeComment: Ah, Waikiki -- that explains the "shirtless in October." I spent some months in Oahu and loved it. I like your subject and the shallow depth of field works. There's a bit of a problem with burnout where the sun hits his back. Sometimes I think that shows up more in b&w (in a color photo it may be more golden).

Red, White, and Blueby GermaineComment: As others have commented, I like that the arrow goes in the opposite direction of the rider -- it really makes the photo work. |

Reading Timeby MaggyeComment: Funny, my first thought too was "would be better if taken from a lower angle" -- guess we all have been well-trained. :-)
Good exposure, by the way, and I like the natural colors.
