Hephaestus ~ Greek God Of Fire by JulietNNComment: Look, a naked man on the front page!
This was my highest scorer for the challenge. Congrats, Juliet.
PS: Nuts? I don't see any "stupid white balls." :-p |

The Old Millby AmeedEl-GhoulComment: Except for the man's costume, could be a still from a film by Carl Th. Dreyer. My favorite entry in the Free Study so far. |

Kalaidaflightby bergiekatComment: Very professional -- looks like a greeting card (in a good way) or like an advertisement for color film. I like your comp. |

Untitled by pawdrixComment: Congratulations, Steve! I think her downcast expression is most intriguing. Lovely form and pose. Well done! |

Abu Ghraib revisitedby MephistoComment: Wow, even without the provocative title, this photo is disturbing -- in a good way. For me it doesn't invoke prison, however. I somehow see him as the perpetrator covered in someone else's blood (maybe it's the somewhat relaxed stance). Powerful color, exposure and theme.

Reflectionsby fridjoComment: I like how even though her head is out of frame at top, one can see it in her full shadow. Beautiful reflection; pushes the boundaries of the no-genitalia rule. I'm also intrigued by her "missing" head in the water. It makes for a nice balance thematically and visually. |
