Very nice. Has an (dare I say it) impressionist feel to it. The bokeh perfectly complements and enhances the subject. Nice lighting too, I like how the subject is highlighted. |

not a lot of excitement here, but as far as sticking to the challenge I think you really nailed it. The bokeh really does enhance the subject. The logo of the bike popsout of the image, and then the bokeh behind still leaves enough impression of the rest of the bike to complete the image.
Nice job! |

While the intention of the photo was to make the couple happy, once you entered it here the game changed, yes? I have to wonder what point there is in entering a scoring contest if you don't care about the score? Perhaps you were being overly dramatic ;).
I think the girlpower theme was an amusing take on the challenge topic and the pose does a good job of capturing that spirit. Perhaps a crop that gave the girls all the real estate and didn't make them share half the frame with the sky would give their poses and facial expressions even more impact. |

Rechargingby cujeeComment: Critique Club feedback -
The shot is creative in that the battery is recharging by sleeping on a bed.
The lighting is pretty poor here and being able to see the lines in the cardboard and such just don't make for a very appealing image or give the sense that a lot of effort went into producing this shot.
I think your score here was a reward for the creativity and humor, so from your notes I think you accomplised your goal. Good luck! |

The bokeh is nice and the way it comes off as dim reflections of the main subject does enhance the subject in my opinion.
The subject itself would look better were it more in focus (narrower aperture) and there might be better crops/compositions that would give the overall photo more impact. |

The cage lines aresort of distracting, but I actually find myself liking how they break up the background. nice bokeh. The angle this was shot from and the composition of the shot probably kept the score down a little bit. The lighting is nice though, I like how it highlights the bird's face. |

The out of focus background is pleasing to look at, but this would have scored much higher were the bug itself in focus. |

Wow it looks like mothra from the godzilla movies lol.
Great capture, you really got some good focus on that bug and that's not easy to do.
Does the bokeh enhance the subject? That I'm not so sure about. Even with all the nice little circles of light, there is a lot of activity in the background and the dimly lit bug sort of disappears in the cacophony. |

Bokeh of Flowersby SoulMan1978Comment: Critique Club feedback -
I think it is just a dandelion (a weed) so that's probably why it got mowed down.
Very nice bokeh behind the flower. Does it enhance your subject? I think so. The flower is the one detailed thing on a see of little yellow dots of light.
Focus on the flower could be much better. I would advise anyone to get the focus dead-on in camera. PP sharpening is never as good. Your shutter speed was a bit low here for the lens being used, that might have made all the difference. |

Nice photo that seems to have taken the brush treatment well. There is not message being conveyed here that I can tell. A motivational poster needs to motivate the user in some regard. This looks a bit like a title on a photo. |
